Mr. Kishore Kumar Shakya is a distinguished Civil Engineer with nearly five decades of professional experience in Nepal’s engineering and construction sector. He has held several prominent leadership positions, including Chairperson of the High-Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization (HPCIDBC) and President of both the Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA) and the Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA). During his 34 years of service with the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage (DWSS), Government of Nepal, he played a key role in planning, designing, and implementing major national projects such as the ADB-funded Community-Based Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project.
He continues to contribute to the engineering and construction sectors through policy advisory roles, professional associations, and capacity-building initiatives. As Chairperson of the Construction Sector Skill Committee, he provides strategic leadership in promoting excellence, innovation, and skill development in Nepal’s construction industry.
He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering (Water and Wastewater) from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Patrice Lumumba Friendship University, Moscow.
Mr. Ram Sharan Deuja is an accomplished professional with over three decades of leadership and management experience in Nepal’s construction industry. Since 1991, he has served as the Chairman and Managing Director of R. Komal Construction Pvt. Ltd., overseeing major infrastructure projects across the country. He also leads Sunlight Construction Pvt. Ltd., guiding strategic operations and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
He is currently the President of Civil Engineering Laboratory Association of Nepal and has been actively involved in professional associations, notably as Deputy General Secretary and General Secretary of the Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN). His engagement in international conventions, including those organized by the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) and FIDIC, has broadened his expertise in global construction standards and practices.
Mr. Deuja holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Nepal Commerce Campus, Tribhuvan University, and has participated in numerous national and international trainings in project management, contract administration, and occupational health and safety.
Mr. Tara Bahadur Kunwar is a prominent figure in Nepal’s heavy equipment and construction industry, widely recognized for his leadership and social contributions. He is the Founder and President of both the Nepal Heavy Equipment Business Association and the Nepal Heavy Equipment Business Federation, and has served three terms as a Central Member of the Construction Business Federation.
His long-standing commitment to the sector is matched by his dedication to humanitarian and community development efforts. He is the Coordinator of the Ring Road Cleaning Campaign and President of the Hajurlai Namaste Charitable Organization. He has received multiple honors, including the Prabal Janasewa Shree IV award conferred by the President of Nepal, in recognition of his service during national crises such as the 2015 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic.
An accomplished author, Mr. Kunwar has published two editions of his autobiography, Hajurlai Namaste. He has also travelled extensively across Europe and Asia for professional and humanitarian engagements.
Mr. Mohan Katuwal is a seasoned entrepreneur and industrial leader with extensive experience in Nepal’s grill, steel fabrication, and small industries sectors. He currently serves as Vice President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) and as Immediate Past President of the Federation of Grill and Steel Fabricators Nepal (FGSFN), having led the latter for over 18 years.
He also holds several leadership positions including Vice Chairman of the Employer Committee at the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Advisor at the Center for Public Health and Environmental Development (CEPHED), and Chairman of Rauta Mai Security Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, he leads New Katuwal Grill Udhyog, a well-established enterprise specializing in metal and grill design.
Mr. Katuwal actively contributes to policy dialogue and vocational advancement through his involvement with the Industrial Advisory Committee at Shankharapur Polytechnic Institute and the South Asian Countries SME Forum.
Mr. Krishna Prasad Sapkota is an experienced infrastructure specialist with over two decades of expertise in project preparation, financing, and implementation of urban and rural development initiatives. He served as Executive Director of the Town Development Fund (2020–2024), where he led project identification, financing, and coordination with investors for revenue-generating infrastructure projects.
He is the Co-founder and Chief Advisor of SITARA Consult Pvt. Ltd., where he has provided technical guidance in detailed design, feasibility studies, and PPP project structuring. His areas of expertise include project due diligence, financing instruments, and organizational management.
Mr. Sapkota holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Management from Pokhara University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University.
Mr. Tej Bahadur Rai is the Managing Director of Structure World Pvt. Ltd. and MAXAL Pvt. Ltd., leading major aluminum fabrication and construction projects across Nepal. With extensive experience in mechanical supervision and project management, he has contributed significantly to the modernization and professionalization of Nepal’s aluminum fabrication sector.
He has served as President of the Aluminium Fabricators’ Association Nepal (ALFAN) and as a Board Member of the Federation of Nepalese Contractors’ Association (FCAN). He is also an active member of the Construction Sector Skill Committee, supporting skill development and sectoral advancement in construction and fabrication.
Mr. Rai began his professional journey as a Mechanical Technician and Supervisor in Nepal and abroad, gaining valuable hands-on experience in large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
Mr. Nirmal Prasad Neupane is a highly experienced Civil Engineer and Technical Education expert with over four decades of professional involvement in construction, project management, and vocational training. He has served in senior technical and managerial capacities, including Senior Site Engineer, Technical Director, Senior Technical Officer at the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), and Principal of the Balaju School of Engineering and Technology.
He has extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects and leading curriculum design, training management, and monitoring and evaluation initiatives in technical education. Mr. Neupane has participated in professional trainings and study visits in India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Qatar, Denmark, and Sweden.
He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from SCHEMS College, Pokhara University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Institution of Engineers, Calcutta. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers India, Nepal Engineering Council, Nepal Engineering Association, and Rotary Club of Gongabu.
Mr. Haribol Badal is a respected entrepreneur and leader in Nepal’s building and construction sector, with decades of experience in electrical contracting and materials supply. He is the Managing Director of Him Deurali Construction Pvt. Ltd. and oversees multiple enterprises, including Chandeshowri Hardware and Alyavi Karmathalo.
He has played a key role in institutional strengthening within the sector as a Committee Member of the Construction Sector at the National Skills Testing Board (NSTB) under CTEVT (2018–2023). He is a Founder Member of the Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) and the Nepal Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), where he has served as Secretary General (2004–2010) and currently as Vice President (since 2014).
Mr. Badal also serves as Advisor (since 2022) and was the Founder General Secretary (2007) of the Nepal Construction Industries Council (NCIC). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tri-Chandra College, Tribhuvan University. Beyond his professional work, he is actively engaged in social organizations including Lions Club International, Jaycees International, Giants International, and the Nepal Red Cross Society.
Mr. Surya Prasad Adhikari is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. Before joining the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), he worked with prominent international organizations such as CARE Nepal and Action Aid Nepal, contributing to civil engineering and community development initiatives.
He served as the founding Principal of Mahalaxmi Polytechnic Institute, Lamatar, Lalitpur, where he demonstrated strong leadership in institutional development and management. Currently, he serves as a Skill Test Officer at the National Skill Testing Board (NSTB), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, leading the development and revision of National Competency Standards (NCS) and National Occupational Skill Standards (NOSS).
Mr. Adhikari continues to play a pivotal role in advancing skills development, standardization, and the overall quality of vocational education in Nepal.
