On 24th March 2024, the Swiss Embassy hosted the graduation ceremony for the inaugural batch of TVET Trainee Officers. The seven dedicated TVET officers were proudly awarded their graduation certificates by the Swiss Ambassador Dr. Danielle Meuwly.

The event also welcomed 20 promising new TVET Trainee Officers, with Er. Mahesh Bhattarai, Member Secretary of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), extending offer letters to the enthusiastic candidates.

Reflecting on their journey, the graduates expressed profound gratitude for their enriching experiences working on the NVQS-P and ENSSURE projects for six months each. They emphasized how these experiences honed their communication skills, professionalism, and confidence, paving the way for their personal and professional growth.

Now, the newly selected candidates are poised to embark on their next chapter, as they allocate their time among three pivotal projects: NVQS-P, ENSSURE, and QualiTY. This diversification promises a wealth of opportunities for skill development and expertise enhancement.

The TVET Traineeship Program, initiated through collaboration between the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and its implementing partners - Swisscontact and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, aims to address the pressing need for skilled professionals in Nepal's evolving TVET sector. With a focus on inclusivity and capacity building, this program offers fresh graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the TVET projects supported by SDC.
