Mr. Narendra Bajracharya is a distinguished leader in Nepal’s hospitality and tourism sector, with over four decades of experience spanning hotel management, tourism promotion, hospitality education, and multi-sector business development. He currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the International School of Tourism & Hotel Management (IST College, IST Secondary School, and IST Vocational School) and has played a pivotal role in strengthening Nepal’s hospitality workforce.
His professional career includes leadership in major national initiatives such as coordinating the Visit Nepal Valediction 1999, serving as President of the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), and contributing to policy-level reforms as a former board member of the Nepal Tourism Board. He is also a founder, promoter, or board member of several prominent institutions, including Prime Commercial Bank, Comfort Housing, Hotel Vajra, Golden Gate International College, and multiple real estate and development companies.
Academically, he holds a Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management from Salzburg, Austria, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Tribhuvan University. His long-standing contributions have been recognized through prestigious national honors, including the Tri Shakti Patta, Gorakha Dakshina Bahu, and the King Birendra–Aishwarya Padak.
Mr. Binayak Shah serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Hospitality Sector Skill Committee.
Mr. Surya Kiran Shrestha is a highly experienced hospitality professional and academic with more than three decades of service in hotel operations, hospitality education, and curriculum development in Nepal. He began his career in professional kitchen operations as Chef de Partie at Hotel Blue Star before transitioning into academia. He served for over three decades at the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) as Deputy Head of Department and Programme Coordinator for the Bachelor of Hotel Management. He has also worked as a lecturer and consultant at Ritz College of Engineering and Management and has contributed extensively to national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences. His professional expertise encompasses food production, hospitality operations, tourism marketing, leadership, and training development, supported by specialized training in Nepal, Germany, and Singapore.
Mr. Shrestha is actively engaged in national sectoral development through his roles as Chairperson of the Hospitality Committee at the Curriculum Development Centre under the Ministry of Education, and member of subject committees at Kathmandu University and Rajashree Janak University. An accomplished researcher and author, he has published several textbooks on hotel management, food production, tourism, and mountaineering. He holds an MPA and a BA in Journalism from Tribhuvan University, an MPhil in Educational Leadership, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Management. He is fluent in English and German.
Ms. Anita Tuladhar is an experienced hospitality professional with over 20 years of service in Nepal’s hospitality industry. She has worked with leading national and international hotel chains, combining strong academic grounding with practical operational expertise. Her professional career reflects consistent leadership in hotel operations, guest experience management, and strategic planning, with a strong focus on maintaining service excellence and organizational performance. She is also a certified trainer and hospitality coach, mentoring teams and supporting institutional capacity building.
Ms. Tuladhar’s expertise includes hotel operations management, team leadership, guest satisfaction enhancement, and strategic advisory support. She is fluent in Nepali, Nepal Bhasa, and English and has contributed as an advisor to various hospitality initiatives, supporting professional development and sectoral growth
Mr. Barun Mehta serves as a Member of the Hospitality Sector Skill Committee.
Mr. Govinda Narsingh KC is an award-winning Executive Chef and one of Nepal’s most accomplished culinary professionals, with more than 39 years of leadership experience in five-star hotels and international airline catering services. Recognized as the first Nepali to serve as an Executive Chef in Nepal’s hospitality history, he has led culinary operations at prominent institutions including Soaltee Crowne Plaza, LSG Sky Chefs, Hotel Annapurna, and currently, The Everest Hotel. His professional expertise includes multi-cuisine production, kitchen operations, food safety and HACCP systems, cost control, menu planning, and the supervision of large-scale diplomatic and royal events. He has also represented Nepal internationally through food festivals in France, Italy, Singapore, China, Turkey, and India, promoting Nepalese culinary heritage on global platforms.
Mr. KC is actively involved in sectoral leadership and currently serves as President of the Chef Association of Nepal. He has participated in numerous international training programs on food hygiene, production control, quality systems, and culinary management. Academically, he holds a Graduate Degree in Cookery from the Nepal Tourism Training Centre.
Mr. Anup Thapa Kshyatri is a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience in hotel operations, food and beverage management, and hospitality consulting. He currently serves as General Manager of Hotel Lo Mustang and Lo Mustang Himalayan Resort and has previously held senior roles at leading establishments including Radisson Kathmandu, the Taj Group, and Hotel Annapurna. In addition to his operational leadership, he has contributed as a lecturer and consultant at institutions such as IST College, Nepal College of Management, and Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management, supporting service quality enhancement and operational excellence.
Mr. Thapa holds a Master of Science in Marketing of Services from Maastricht School of Management, an Executive MBA from Kathmandu University, and a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Lucknow. His professional expertise includes food and beverage operations, marketing, training and development, strategic planning, and hotel pre-opening support, making him a valued contributor to professional capacity building within Nepal’s hospitality sector.
Mr. Samir Thapa is a prominent entrepreneur, educator, and hospitality professional with extensive international experience in hospitality and tourism education. He is Nepal’s first Certified Hospitality Educator, qualified to teach hospitality management globally. He founded Nepal’s first internationally recognized hotel management college, now operating four branches nationwide and offering international degree programs in partnership with institutions from the USA, UK, France, and Malaysia. He currently serves as Director of the American Hospitality Academy (IHMS, USA), overseeing the establishment and management of a global network of hotel schools across multiple countries, including the USA, Nepal, South Africa, the Philippines, Turkey, Malaysia, and India.
Mr. Thapa holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the USA and a Bachelor’s degree from Switzerland. His sectoral engagement includes serving as Past President of APacCHRIE and the International Education Providers’ Association of Nepal (IEPAN), Vice President of the United Nations Global Compact Nepal, and Co-Founder of the Sustainable Tourism Network of Nepal. He also serves in advisory and governance roles as a board member of the Nepal–UAE, Nepal–Turkey, and Nepal–Brazil Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Chandra Prasad Rijal serves as a Member of the Hospitality Sector Skill Committee.
Mr. Pramod Jaiswal is a veteran entrepreneur with more than 35 years of experience in Nepal’s restaurant and hospitality industry. He has played a significant role in strengthening the food service sector through sustained business leadership and industry engagement. Notably, he served as President of the Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) from 2014 to 2018, contributing to sectoral coordination, advocacy, and institutional development.
In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Jaiswal has been an active member of Rotary International since 2008, reflecting his dedication to community service and social responsibility.
Mr. Ram Krishna Parajuli is a dedicated TVET professional with over a decade of experience in technical education, skill development, and curriculum implementation. Prior to joining the National Skill Testing Board, he served as Head of Department at a constituent Polytechnic Institute under CTEVT, where he gained extensive experience in academic leadership, program management, and curriculum design. He currently serves as a Skill Testing Officer at NSTB, where he contributes to skill testing, standardization, and the alignment of vocational qualifications with industry needs.
Mr. Parajuli plays a key role in supporting sectoral skill development through his involvement in the Hospitality Sector Skill Committee. His work focuses on strengthening the quality, recognition, and relevance of skills in Nepal’s vocational education system. His contributions continue to support improved workforce capacity and the overall development of the hospitality sector.
