Nirmala Kakshapati

We're shining a spotlight on the incredible women in the TVET sector. Their voices and contributions are essential for building a more inclusive and prosperous society. With more women involved in TVET, we can expand financial opportunities and improve social standing, crucial for sustainable development.

Nirmala Kakshapati is the Managing Director of Global Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism Technical Centre. She advocates for recognizing women's skills acquired through informal channels, viewing the RPL approach as a means to bolster women's economic empowerment.
The Nepal Vocational Qualifications System Project-Phase II (NVQS P-II) is actively supporting the skill development of women in Nepal, facilitating systemic reforms to enhance access to higher-level skills and job opportunities for women. NVQS P-II is a bi-lateral initiative of Government of Nepal and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC. Swisscontact provides technical assistance to the project on behalf of the SDC.

Let's celebrate the achievements of women in TVET and continue to support their journey towards empowerment!
